If you ever doubt your ability to write great copy …
“It’s perfectly okay to feel that way.”
In fact, most people feel this way when they first start out.
Sure, at first you might feel a little intimidated when you hear some of the stories about the amazing sales letters of all time.
You know the ones –- they’re un-freaking-believable. Sales letters and ads that have produced several million dollars in sales virtually overnight.
You read them and go OMG!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!
You say to yourself, “Will I ever be able to write like this?”
Please don’t let yourself feel intimidated.
You see, the incredible thing about copywriting is that you can produce magical response improvements, even when you first start out. Sure, your first marketing piece may not earn $1 million (my first campaigns certainly didn’t) but even a novice can enjoy excellent results.
Clients don’t expect to experience millions of dollars in profit improvement from one campaign (unless they’re paying a king’s ransom for copywriting services, of course).
All they want is an increase in results. Quite often, they are over the moon with a 10%, 20% or even 30% increase.
But here’s the kicker:
When you apply the copywriting formula, even a newbie can achieve responses like this and much more…
One of my first ads more than tripled a client’s sales within hours of the ad being released. Interestingly, the ad was certainly not an example of copywriting at its finest but it did follow the formula — to the letter.
One of my copywriting students went from a situation where he started with (what he believed to be) no writing talent to earning $1,200 (to as high as $4,000 a day) off Pay Per Click ads that he wrote himself.
So –- ignore the nagging voice in your head that says you don’t have the experience, the knowledge, the resources, the education, the background to succeed as a copywriter. YOU most definitely DO!!!
Just swallow your fears and take that first step -– it’s that simple.
And with each step you take you learn more and more and your results will get better and better.
You can charge higher and higher fees. You can then start to attract other exciting writing income opportunities which attract really big money through leverage.
Heck, I started my copywriting business 18 years ago as an ex-Bank officer and ex-Customs Officer, without ever having written one piece of copy for a client. I went on to publish 15 guides, speak to thousands, earn my clients millions, earn six figure fees for one engagement, and enjoy a lot of joint ventures and other leveraged income streams.
My point is:
“If I can do it, so can you.”
